Job Description

Description

At Blink, we're redefining how insurance works. The traditional industry model is slow, labor-intensive, and frustrating for both customers and service providers.

We're changing that by creating an AI-powered workforce to overhaul the way insurance operates targeting the 30% of costs tied to labor, not just the 5% in software budgets.

With extensive research, including interviews and surveys with industry leaders and consumers, we've pinpointed key areas where existing solutions fall short.

We're now partnering with top insurance carriers to develop an AI-driven, end-to-end solution that will revolutionize the industry.

We’re currently expanding our engineering team to accelerate development and maintain our competitive edge. As a Software Engineer at Blink, you’ll play a crucial role in building our AI workforce of the future.

You’ll be hands-on with both front-end and back-end development, creating innovative features and systems that drive our business forward.

This is a dynamic role where your contributions will have a direct impact on our success.

  • Spend 80% of your time coding and 20% on planning and team collaboration
  • Work equally on front and back end development
  • Create exciting new features and enhance user interactions
  • Convert feedback into actionable improvements
  • Translate requirements into practical solutions

What We Are looking For :

  • Minimum of 3 years of recent development experience
  • Proficiency in JavaScript (Node.js / Angular preferred), Python, AWS, MongoDB
  • A willingness to dive in and go figure it out
  • Confidence, curiosity, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to iterate quickly, communicate effectively, and embrace feedback
  • A collaborative, ego-free approach to work

What would be extra awesome :

  • Experience with agentic LLMs, OpenAI, Claude, prompt engineering
  • Experience with AI in the insurance space
  • Formal engineering education

Why You’ll Love This Role :

  • Innovative Environment : Work on the cutting edge of AI technology and insurance
  • Creative Freedom : Flex your creative and engineering skills to build something transformative
  • Growth Opportunity : Be part of a high-growth venture with potential for rapid advancement
  • Collaborative Culture : Join a resourceful team with a proven track record in launching successful ventures

Benefits :

  • Competitive salary
  • Excellent health and dental insurance with 99% of the employee premium paid by us
  • Life insurance

19days is backed by full-stack innovation partner Gitwit and collectively they’ve already had measurable success in building and marketing practical, but game-changing, AI solutions in the healthcare and death care spaces.

Behind this proven track record is a super resourceful team in all areas of launching and growing a business that will be at your disposal.

The power of a venture studio is it enables our team to focus on the most important few things and use our specific strengths to drive progress and success.

19days is backed by Oklahoma’s top venture capital funds and several incredible individual investors.
