Summary / Objective :
Supports pharmacological services by stocking, assembling, and distributing medications.
Essential Functions : Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
- Under supervision of a pharmacist, assists in certain areas related to processing prescriptions (data entry, filling, and checking out patients).
- Helps put away incoming pharmacy inventory (except for controlled substances).
- Transfers prescriptions on behalf of pharmacists (if certified).
- Researches and completes insurance verification prior to seeking requests for medications.
- Recognizes financial assistance offered by pharmaceutical companies and helps patients apply when appropriate.
- Reconciles patient’s medications prior to face-to-face visit with the pharmacist.
- Is available to patients for questions or concerns regarding their medications.
- Fills medications, as necessary, under the supervision of a pharmacist.

- Understands and abides by OSHA, HIPAA & CLIA standards. High School graduate or equivalent.
