LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO START NEXT WEEK- NEEDS TO BE A PRIOR TEMP
SHORT TERM : WEEKS
Serve as receptionist (telephone), and greeter (for walk-in traffic) for busy academic department at the start of the semester.
Provide access to offices, work and class rooms for new faculty and graduate students; triage questions / concerns (connecting those with questions with faculty and regular staff, as needed) share information sheets for undergraduates seeking to take Literary Arts courses;
distribute materials to department boxes and post information in public areas. Office traffic is extremely heavy during the first week of the semester.
LOCATION : Room , & / Brown Street (Literary Arts building)
- Parking is on the street or metered parking

What is the reason / justification for this need?
Our office assistant has moved on to a new job in Music. We are waiting to begin a search to replace this position; owing to building traffic at the start of term, this is vital, to ensure a good experience for new and continuing students and faculty.

Work in busy office environment; preferred to have worked in academic dept. before. Good phone and in person communication skills.
