Sr. Test Engineer
Responsibilities :
- Review customer requirements and develop test plans, test procedures, and test reports.
- Conceptualize, design, build, and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic test systems for laboratory and production use.
- Create programs using LabView to run tests and for data acquisition.
- Review qualification tests and production acceptance test requirements during the proposal phase to assist in developing recurring and non-recurring costs.
- Perform qualification and design verification tests, including vibration, shock, temperature, endurance, etc.
- Interact with customers, manufacturing, and design engineers.
Required :
- BS in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with focus on Control Systems.
- 7+ years of experience as a test engineer in a military / aerospace environment.
- Hands-on experience installing and using various types of valves, regulators, pressure connections, pressure controllers, etc.
- Familiarity with IEC 61298-1 and IEC 61298-2.
- Experience using Mil-STD-202, MIL-STD-810 and DO-160.
- Ability to specify sensors, transducers, valves, regulators, etc.
- Working knowledge of Automated Industrial Control Systems PID loops, Digital I / O, Analog I / O, etc.
- Working knowledge of data transfer protocols such as RS232, RS485, IEEE-488 (GPIB), etc.
- Ability to diagnose electrical and mechanical systems (using multimeter, oscilloscopes, etc.).
- Significant LabVIEW programming experience.
- Basic programming experience (Microcontroller, VBScript, C++, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
