Job Title : Instrument Support Specialist

Job Description :
We're seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Instrument Support Specialist to join our dynamic lab service team at our location in Cambridge, MA.
This role primarily involves providing on-site scientific and operational support for Flow Cytometry and FACS equipment.
The ideal candidate will be a quick learner with a science background, possessing strong communication skills for customer-facing interactions.
Job Responsibilities :
- Conduct routine maintenance on FACS equipment, including instrument start-up / shutdown, and QC / QA of cytometers following SOPs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve routine FACS equipment issues.
- Manage basic supplies and coordinate service visits by technicians.
- Assist with scheduling, calendar management, and operation of cytometers & sorters.
- Respond to queries and communications with flow labs to ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain training and compliance in health and safety, security, environmental, and operational aspects of daily activities.
Skills Required :
- Associate Degree with 0-2 years of experience in a scientific or lab environment OR High School Diploma with 2+ years of experience in a scientific or lab environment.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently.
- Ability to follow oral and written directions.
- Basic experience with MS Office : Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with flow cytometry systems is a plus.
