About this position :

LMCU is looking for a Consumer Default Counselor to preserve the Credit Union’s assets by controlling delinquent loan accounts, collecting delinquent loan payments and / or recovering collateral.

What you’ll do :

Contact delinquent accounts by phone and mail; take appropriate action to bring current.

Analyze financial situation of delinquent borrowers; make recommendations to repossess collateral when other arrangements to bring the loan current are unsuccessful.

Maintain accurate files and reports on all collections activity.

What You’ll Bring : You’ll like this position if you are...

One to three years of similar or related experience. Prior experience working for a credit union is a plus.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Bilingual in Spanish, preferred.
