A Student Support Specialist provides behavioral and academic assistance for students within the school setting. The essential function of this position is to intervene with behavioral and academic support that is consistent with KidsPeace Model of Care and Safe Crisis Management.
The position consist of circulating through classrooms to assist with assignments, provide crisis intervention to students, collect data, form therapeutic relationships and reinforce on task behavior.
The Student Support Specialist will be able to implement crisis management techniques while supporting education needs of the student.
