Position Overview : As a Personal Injury Pre-Suit Paralegal, you will play a critical role in managing personal injury cases from inception through the pre-suit phase.
You will work closely with attorneys to ensure that cases are prepared efficiently and effectively before they proceed to litigation.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide general support to attorneys.
Draft and prepare correspondence, pleadings, and discovery documents.
Maintain and manage attorneys' calendars, including trial deadlines and pre-trial preparations.
Schedule and coordinate hearings, depositions, mediations, EUOs, and meetings.
E-File with State and Federal courts.
Understand and apply Florida Civil Rules of Procedure in litigation.
Manage pre-suit and litigation processes for personal injury cases.
Issue and follow up on subpoenas.
Ensure documents are properly saved and organized in the document management system.
Qualifications :
Punctual, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proactive in handling projects and anticipating needs.
Knowledge of state and federal court rules and e-filing procedures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PDF applications; experience with document / case management software (preferably Aderant Total Office).
Highly organized and self-motivated.
Significant law firm experience is required; personal injury experience is preferred but not mandatory.
