Hourly Pay : Competitive Hourly Pay plus Tips

POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking enthusiastic, dedicated, reliable, and focused Line Cooks / Sandwich Makers to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook / Sandwich Maker, you will play a critical role in delivering our signature flavor profiles as well as a high-quality experience for our guests by preparing and assembling sandwiches made to order.
As a Line Cook / Sandwich Maker, you will be responsible for preparing and assembling sandwiches according to customer orders, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, and ensuring all food safety standards are met.
You will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, handling multiple orders at once while ensuring that all ingredients are fresh, properly handled, and prepared with care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Food Preparation : Prepare, cook, and assemble a variety of deli items, including sandwiches, salads, soups, stocks, sides, and prepared meals according to our daily production targets.
Must be able to follow established recipes and portion control ensuring consistency in taste and presentation. Time maintenance and efficiency is a must.
Cooking : Cook and assemble made-to-order sandwiches, both hot and cold. Prep and assemble salads efficiently while maintaining high-quality and safety standards.
Meat Slicing : Meats and cheeses will be sliced to order, ensuring consistency of thickness and quality.
Station Management : Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked station. Ensure all prep work is completed and setup before each service.
Quality Control : Ability to monitor food quality, ensuring all sandwiches, salads, prepared meals meet management standards before they are sold or leave the kitchen.
Health and Safety : Must follow all food safety and sanitation procedures, including proper handling, storage, and labeling of ingredients.
Team Collaboration : Work closely with kitchen management and kitchen staff to ensure that each service runs smoothly, communicating effectively to help keep the kitchen running efficiently.
Adaptability : Willingness and ability to assist in other areas of the kitchen as needed, including prep work, assembly, cleaning, and inventory management.
Guest Interaction : Direct interaction with guests to ensure needs are met in a timely manner. This will include taking the guests order and assembling the order addressing any specific needs.
This must be done with professionalism and courtesy.
Speed and Efficiency : Ability to meet daily production goals while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Inventory Management : Monitor ingredient levels, minimize waste, and communicate with the kitchen manager for restocking needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience : Previous experience in a high-volume deli, sandwich shop, or similar fast-paced kitchen environment preferred.
Knowledge : Basic understanding and fundamentals of culinary operations. Food safety standards.
Skills : Strong knife skills and the ability to operate kitchen equipment such as slicers, ovens, flat-top, and fryers.
Speed : Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure while still maintaining quality and attention to details.
Teamwork : Ability to work effectively and closely with a focused and determined team with strong communication and collaborative skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Capable of lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds
Comfortable working in a kitchen environment with varying degrees of temperature
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
