Summary :
The Divisional Vice President of Marketing is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the overall marketing strategy and performance across our diverse portfolio of hotel properties.
This position will lead a team of marketing professionals, collaborate with cross-functional leaders, and play a pivotal role in shaping the company's brand presence and revenue growth.
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute comprehensive, multi-year marketing strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead and guide hotels / resorts on all marketing related functions from a holistic approach including B2B and B2C cross-functioning marketing.
- Lead RFP process for all potential 3rd party agencies including but no limited to public relations, digital, branding , creative development, etc.
- Guide property leaders on the creation and implementation of annual marketing plans for the division's hotel assets.
- Provide visionary guidance for brand development, especially for new independent and soft brand assets in collaboration with ownership.
- Identify and capitalize on market opportunities to differentiate our portfolio.
- Spearhead and negotiate high-impact strategic partnerships to enhance brand visibility and drive revenue.
- Guide future marketing capital investment through the analysis of KPI's such as ROI.
- Collaborate with each property-based marketing director / manager to ensure all contracted 3rd party agencies are being held accountable to the pre-determined KPI's that illustrate success.
Team Leadership and Development
- Build, lead and mentor high-performing hotel marketing teams.
- Foster culture of innovation, collaboration and excellence within the portfolio.
- Oversee professional development of team members and succession planning.
Brand & Public Relations Management :
- Oversee development and maintenance of brand identities across the portfolio in collaboration with ownership group and selected branding agencies.
- Provide strategic direction for public relations efforts, including agency selection and campaign approvals.
- Identify and pursue thought leadership opportunities to elevate portfolio's industry presence.
Digital Marketing and Technology :
- Collaborate with Director of Digital and / or property-based Director of Marketing to ensure cutting-edge digital marketing strategies are in place.
- Drive integration of marketing technology to enhance proficiency and effectiveness.
- Oversee optimization of digital channels, including website, OTSs and social media platforms.
Revenue and Performance Management :
- Work closely with Revenue Management to align marketing initiatives with revenue goals.
- Analyze marketing performance metrics and adjust strategies to maximize ROI.
- Present performance reports and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and owners.
Cross-functional Collaboration :
- Partner with Sales, Operations and other departments to ensure cohesive brand experiences.
- Serve as marketing liaison for brand partnerships (ie Marriott, Hyatt) to maximize exposure and profitability.
