- Coordinate production activities with other departments, such as procurement, logistics, and quality assurance.
- Ensure products meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and monitor quality control programs and procedures.
- Address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs.
- Utilize lean manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Recruit, train, and supervise production staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and development opportunities.
- Ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished products.
- Coordinate with the procurement department to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Manage storage and distribution of finished goods.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including HACCP, FDA, and other relevant standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
- Implement and enforce health and safety policies.
