Pacific Disposal, a Waste Connections Company, is looking for a Class B CDL Shred Truck Driver to join the team at our Mobile Shredding location in Lacey, WA.
Previous shred experience would be a huge plus!
The schedule will be Monday- Friday, with start times between 5 and 6 am. Starting pay is $29.30 per hour.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Perform on-site document destruction of confidential material using mobile-based shredding equipment.
- Preparing paperwork neatly and accurately in accordance with all Company, Local, State, NAID, and Federal Policies.
- Perform the pick-up of customer material in a courteous, efficient, and professional manner.
- Must be able to operate company equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Loading and unloading a truck through a variety of mechanisms.
- Using wireless scanning technology and communication devices for service and communication purposes.
- A typical schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, with an occasional Saturday as needed and some overnights, 45 hour work week.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT :
- Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 75 pounds.
- Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts. Which require following basic safety precautions.
- The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and / or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration.
Noise level is usually moderate.
Continuously going into businesses and interacting with clients.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS :
- Possess a valid Washington Class B CDL.
- Be able to pass a WA DOT medical certification upon hire.
- Have clean driving record.
- Be able to pass a pre-employment substance abuse screening.
- Be able to pass a 7 year criminal history background check.
- 1+ years of face to face customer service as well as route transportation is preferred.
