We are seeking a self-motivated troubleshooter for our Maintenance Mechanic SR for our Richmond, CA location. Responsibilities include but not limited to performing a wide variety of skilled general maintenance, repair, and modification of machinery and mechanical equipment.
Performs preventative maintenance on equipment and mechanical systems. Examination of mechanical equipment to diagnose potential future problems.
Assembles and installs mechanical equipment and systems, following drawings, blueprints, and general instructions. May provide leadership to junior personnel.
Wage : $34hr

Responsibilities
- Always follow safety protocol
- Performs preventative maintenance, conducts inspections, troubleshoots, diagnoses failures & deficiencies & performs necessary corrections.
- Completes and maintains all service, parts / inventory records in a timely & accurate manner.
- Assures daily maintenance duties performed and communicates any problems or issues.
- Permit writing - LOTO, HOTWORK, Confined Space, Working at Height
- Performs maintenance functions, including, but not limited to Electrical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, and Mechanical
- Reviews all applicable SOPs, and complete all mandatory Company and job specific training.
- Completes and submits all associated paperwork as required for tracking PM schedules.
- Conducts Safety Checks & Annual Inspections
- Fabricating, welding, modifications etc.
- Pump & piping installs
- Ensures that work meets all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ensures, understands, and has ownership for area specific permit required compliance standards.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment.
- Performs other assignments as assigned by management.
- Keeps within Compliance Standards.
- Maintains facility equipment through Preventative Maintenance Management systems.
- Assures proper preventative maintenance of all plant equipment, stationary and mobile.
- Assembles components and parts, as required by manufacturers.
- Maintains all plant equipment and systems.
- Operates a forklift and various heavy equipment, when necessary, to assist in diagnosis.
- Reviews all applicable standard operating procedures (SOPs) and satisfactorily completes quizzes.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment. Drives Clean Compliance Standard.
- Ensures that work meets compliance standards within facility operation. Ensures that work meets all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures.
Qualifications
What does it take to work here?
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card
- 3-5 years maintenance experience in a plant or Industrial environment preferred
- Plant maintenance experience in one or more of the following areas : mechanically inclined / strong troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, hydraulic / pneumatics, boilers, installations, fabrication and welding
- Pumps experience - positive displacement and diaphragm pumps an asset!
- Familiar with 480v
- Troubleshooting PLCs preferred
- Small packaging, canning or bottling maintenance experience a plus!
- Self motivated with ability to follow direction and take initiative
- Permit writing experience preferred
- Continuous learning mindset
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to meet physical demands of the position and lift up to 50lbs, including movements such as lifting, bending, reaching, climbing, and the manipulating and handling of objects
- Clean and valid driver’s license
