We are in search of a diligent Human Resources (HR) Assistant to be part of our team in the motor freight forwarding industry.

Based in Alpharetta, Georgia, the HR Assistant will be instrumental in supporting our HR operations, from recruitment to employee record maintenance.

This role provides an opportunity for short term contract employment.

Responsibilities :

  • Facilitate recruitment efforts and streamline the onboarding process for new hires
  • Actively assist in the daily operations of the HR department
  • Maintain and update employee records in our HR databases
  • Support the coordination and implementation of training and development programs
  • Utilize skills in ADP - Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode, Ceridian and HRMS for HR related tasks
  • Conduct background checks as part of the recruitment process
  • Handle auditing tasks as needed to ensure compliance
  • Deliver exceptional customer service when addressing employee inquiries
  • Utilize 'About Time' software for efficient time management and task completion
  • Oversee benefit functions, ensuring employees are well-informed and benefit systems are well-maintained.
  • Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now software
  • Familiarity with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode, Ceridian, HRMS, and About Time tools
  • Experience in auditing and performing background checks
  • Knowledge of benefit functions and handling related tasks
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
