Job Title : Regional Maintenance Supervisor
Overview : We are seeking a skilled and experienced Regional Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance operations of our properties within a designated region.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facility maintenance, excellent leadership abilities, and a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of property upkeep and safety.

Compensation : Starts at $80k
Location : Des Moines, Iowa

Responsibilities :
Maintenance Oversight :
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities across a portfolio of properties within the designated region.
- Conduct regular inspections to assess property conditions and identify maintenance needs.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the long-term functionality and reliability of building systems and equipment.
Team Management :
- Recruit, train, and supervise maintenance technicians and other staff members within the region.
- Provide ongoing coaching and support to team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their duties effectively.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Vendor Management :
- Oversee relationships with external vendors, contractors, and service providers.
- Solicit bids, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor performance to ensure quality workmanship and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor vendor compliance with contractual obligations and company standards.
Budget Management :
- Assist in the development of maintenance budgets for properties within the region.
- Monitor expenditures and implement cost-control measures to optimize budget performance.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in maintenance operations.
Safety and Compliance :
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations and company policies.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries.
- Conduct safety training for maintenance staff and promote a culture of safety awareness.
Reporting and Documentation :
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment maintenance logs, and inspection reports.
- Prepare regular reports on maintenance performance, including key metrics such as response times, completion rates, and budget variance.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in facility maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software applications.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to facility maintenance.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
