General Responsibilities
Managing a team to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Operational Functions :
- Managing a dispatch team that schedules and coordinates deliveries and pick-ups.
- Ensuring that data related to deliveries and shipments of freight are entered timely into tracking software.
- Managing customer service satisfaction by providing updates on ETA and location of drivers.
- Tracking delivery progress of shipments.
- Managing the zoning of driver dispatches to ensure they are cost effective routes. Administrative Functions :
- Keeping records of all goods shipped, received, and stored.
- Managing and tracking detention times accurately per shipment.
- LTL, Local, and Linehaul Knowledge.
- Deadline driven thorough knowledge of the LTL and Linehaul.
- Excellent communication skills written and verbal.
- Excellent time management.
