We're seeking a dynamic Senior Operations Manager to lead our thriving manufacturing facility in Erlanger, KY. This role is perfect for an experienced professional who excels in lean manufacturing, people management, and driving operational excellence in a job shop or engineer-to-order (ETO) environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership and Development
- Guide and mentor shop floor supervisors and associates
- Establish and manage performance standards
- Develop training strategies and individual growth plans
- Collaborate with HR on recruitment and team-building initiatives
- Operational Efficiency
- Optimize daily operations, manpower allocation, and cost management
- Coordinate with production planning and supply chain teams
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and 5S methodology
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Quality and Safety Management
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality benchmarks
- Collaborate with safety and quality management teams
- Monitor and report on key quality metrics
- Project and Facilities Management
- Oversee cost reduction and productivity enhancement projects
- Assist in facilities management and equipment proposals
- Develop and implement work instructions across all work centers
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Management (preferred)
- 5+ years of manufacturing management experience
- Proficiency in lean manufacturing, 5S, and ISO standards
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience in job shop or ETO environments
- Hands-on leadership approach
- Electrical equipment experience (highly desirable)
- Familiarity with fabrication and assembly processes
