Under the general supervision of a Physician performs duties in accordance with those prescribed by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), Florida Statutes and Leon Medical Centers policies and procedures.
This position is responsible for conducting examinations and writing prescriptions. Within physician midlevel relationship, provides a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be patient in dealing with an elderly population and sensitive to hearing or vision deficiencies.
Individual must have excellent oral and written skill. Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
Ability to interpret complex medical data. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to manage multiple priorities, colleagues, and initiatives or projects simultaneously.
EDUCATION
Master of Science in Nursing. Successful completion of advanced practitioner training and certification as a practitioner (general or specialized) from an approved nurse practitioner program.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Some (one to three years) experience working as a nurse in a clinical setting is preferred
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Fluent in English and Spanish.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS .
Requires a full and unencumbered Florida license as anAdvance Practice Register Nurse that must be maintained throughout employment in accordance with Florida Statutes.
Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
