Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited university
  • Reactive Shainin Green Belt / Black Belt certification
  • Proactive DFSS Green Belt / Black Belt certification
  • High level of proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing)

Additional Requirements

  • Candidates must be able to cross the US / Canadian border to assist, as required
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deal with a variety of people at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to collect and synthesize data into meaningful information and communicate clearly to all levels of the organization
  • Self-directed, team oriented with demonstrated planning / problem-solving skills
  • Experience and working knowledge of computer systems and software required
  • Assertive and ambitious nature
  • Results oriented
  • Motivated to learn new principles and ideas, and have excitement in applying these new principles
  • Motivated to make a positive impact in the work environment and on the quality of the products produced
  • Knowledge of APQP / PPAP & Supplier Quality Manual.
  • Statistical data analysis and metrology principles, Root Cause Analysis methods.
  • Knowledge of defect resolution, escalation processes and follow up.
  • Understanding of vehicle design, assembly, and process control.
  • Understanding of tooling and Automotive assembly plant processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communications skills with ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to develop an action plan and drive the procedures for issue resolution.
  • Proficient in Microsoft suit and Google, TeamCenter Cad is a plus.
  • Self-motivated. Able to meet deadlines with ability to work with cross-functional teams.
