Trails End Ranch in Chickamauga, Georgia is looking for a dedicated and skilled Ranch Handyman-Maintenance to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in general farm operations, including equipment maintenance and working around horses.
About Us : Trails End Ranch is a family-owned farm that backs up to the historic Chickamauga Battlefield in Chickamauga, Georgia.
We are a full-service horse farm and events venue, offering horse boarding, trail rides and riding services along with special event hosting.
We take pride in providing an exceptional experience for our farm guests and stable boarders.
Job Overview : This full-time position requires a strong work ethic, the ability to work independently, adaptability to various farm tasks and weather conditions, and a customer first attitude.
Overall daily duties include feeding horses hay / grain each day, providing water & cleaning water troughs, fence mending and cleaning out barn and stalls.
Must live within easy commuting distance to the farm and have reliable transportation. Due to the nature of our business, must also pass a background check.
Work Schedule and Pay : Tuesday through Saturday, generally 8a.m. to 4p.m., as a 40- hour work week, with hourly pay range $12-14 / hr.
Job Responsibilities :
General Farm Work : Engage in various farm duties, including the operation, maintenance and cleaning of
equipment such as tractors, balers, and mowers.
Equipment Maintenance : Perform and / or coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs on tools and
equipment.
- Equipment Coordination : Manage and oversee the proper use of farm equipment.
- Fence Management : Build, mend, and maintain fences.
- Pasture & Grounds Maintenance : Perform general upkeep of pastures and farm grounds, including mowing,
cleanup, and repairs.
- Fence Line Maintenance : Cut, trim, and spray along fence lines.
- An appreciation of farm life and horses are a must.
