Job Summary The Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Program Specialist provides support to embed and integrate enterprise or division strategies and programs including researching materials and methods, reviewing and / or drafting related policies, collaborating with stakeholders across the enterprise, project management, communication and content development, and coordination of program activities.
This role may provide support to the following programs : Workforce Engagement, Community Health, Inclusive Engagement, Education and Talent, and / or Health Equity.
This role may report up through the EDI Office, Community Health, or Human Resources depending on Program focus. Job Description MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education : Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health or related field of study preferred;
in lieu of degree, a minimum of three (3) years commensurate experience is required. Licenses / Certifications : (None) Experience / Knowledge / Skills : Two (2) years of experience in Human Resources, Healthcare, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, Community Health, Communication, or related field.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications. Effective oral and written communications skills. Strong presentation skills with ability to present effectively to audiences at all levels.
Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively manage multiple projects / priorities simultaneously in an organized manner.
Ability to collaborate and work successfully across all levels of the organization, affiliated partners, and community representatives, demonstrating excellent communication and organizational skills.
Has a high level of credibility, holds self-accountable for outcomes, and can build trusting relationships quickly. Strong analytical competency, consulting and negotiation skills, and business acumen.
Can collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data, develop reporting, and communicate compelling stories to inform decisions and strategy recommendations.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Proactively represent Memorial Hermann Health System by facilitating program awareness internally and externally.
Serves as a project lead, change agent, and change facilitator for key initiatives in support of the respective EDI, Human Resources, Community Health and other associated Programs.
Work may include supporting EDI Council, Culture Committees, Health Anchor Network efforts and / or Human Resources programming as assigned.
Helps plan, organize, and execute on key activities in coordination with Program Director and / or respective division leadership.
Reviews and / or develops communication plans related to aligned initiatives in coordination with Internal Communications and Marketing team members.
Collaborates and solicits feedback from key internal and external stakeholders on system priorities as needed to support ongoing strategic initiatives.
Continuously evaluates feedback on program effectiveness and supports development and deployment of solutions to enhance programs.
Continuously conducts research on aligned best practices and shares with the team members and key stakeholders for consideration of Program enhancements.
Provides planning, organizing, and execution support on key activities to ensure program deadlines and milestones are met.
Understands system policies, procedures, and practices for analysis of strategy performance and impact. Makes recommendations for change based on alignment with business strategies.
Utilizes data from multiple databases / systems and produces summaries and detailed reporting for key performance indicators (KPI's).
Produces ad hoc reports to assist in responding to business inquiries efficiently and thoroughly. Keeps appropriate stakeholders informed with detailed and accurate reports and presentations as needed.
Partners with key vendors and internal and external community partners to cultivate relationships, facilitate opportunity identification, and implement action plans.
Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.
Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory / continuing education and skills competency;
supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.
