We are currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Power & Manufacturing - Advanced Energy / Generation & Energy Management Team from any CHA office location .

The right candidate may have the option of working remotely from home.

We offer most employees the option of a flexible hybrid schedule with a work week that includes both office and work-from-home days.

YOUR IMPACT

From the early stages of master planning and permitting through comprehensive detailed design, we partner with our clients to create solutions that provide reliable, sustainable energy.

The Senior Engineer, a key role at CHA, leads the technical execution of projects within his / her discipline and provides expert consultation in one or more areas of the respective field of engineering.

At CHA, our Senior Engineer plans, schedules, conducts and coordinates detailed phases of a project independently with other engineering disciplines and project management staff.

This key role provides guidance, mentorship, and technical review of work completed by junior level staff. The Senior Engineer provides technical development of proposals and external presentations (i.

e., clients, public, regulatory agency, etc.)

The Senior Engineer resolves highly complex technical issues, and continuously monitors the progress and performance on a project to ensure efficient production and uncover potential problems.

The Senior engineer recognizes technical discrepancies in analytical results and makes appropriate corrections following standard procedures and recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of design.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required
• Professional Engineer License (PE) required
• Minimum of 10 years progressive engineering experience is required
• Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline(s) with a proven ability to practically apply best practices
• Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
• Understands QA / QC procedures and understands basic business practices and laws related to engineering
• Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and effectively work in a collaborative environment; proven ability to lead a team
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
• Proficiency with MS Office software required
• Active role in a professional engineering society / organization preferred
• Minimal travel to sites required
