How will you make an impact?
Independently leads the program management and execution of multiple procurement strategic imperatives and initiatives. Operates as an internal consultant across a global network of divisions, groups, functions, and categories to ensure successful program delivery.
In conjunction with relevant business partners, leads and delivers large, complex initiatives that identify, design, and implement novel business solutions for Procurement.
What will you do?
- Defines the deliverable structure and content; facilitates agreement of proposed solutions from functional, business unit, and site leadership.
- Leads multiple projects simultaneously using well-documented and organized project management methodologies.
- Develops effective communication strategies and delivers executive-level presentations to propose key initiatives and provide critical updates.
- Identifies and monitors key risks and their impact on the project.
- Performs analysis to identify value and financial case development.
- Tracks confidentiality commitments and clearances for the project.
Reports on key targets, projects, and AOP financial targets.
- Coordinates data inputs across the function to enable key reporting visibility and insights.
- Leverages business partner inputs to develop standard reporting requirements and drive process improvements.
Technical Responsibilities
- Applies consistent project management approaches and processes.
- Tracks and monitors timely completion of project deadlines.
- Orchestrates project governance, including regular PMO sessions.
- Leads overall project plans, schedules, budgets, resources, and timelines.
- Facilitates issue resolution including alerting to address program risk.
- Maintains document repository and file structure.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Leads global, cross-functional teams to achieve desired outcomes.
- Coordinates with team members to identify resource constraints.
- Influences key partners to achieve deadlines.
- Facilitates breakthrough thinking by integrating diverse views.
How will you get here?
Education
- Bachelors and / or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, or Science. MBA desirable.
- Certification in Project Management is desirable.
Experience
- Eight plus years experience leading complex, global programs, preferably within Procurement.
- Life Sciences, BioTech, or Pharma industry preferred.
- Experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Category Management required.
- Process improvement background (PPI, Lean, Six Sigma, etc) preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Robust project management skills and capabilities.
- Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills for structuring ideas clearly.
- Strong proficiency in MS-Office tools (specifically, MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Able to lead change effectively and frequently.
- Ability to travel between 10-30% on an annual basis.
