Description
Now seeking Aquatic Program Support Professionals! The Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District is looking for candidates to help with aquatic programs at various facilities, including our two outdoor pools.
This role involves providing leadership, training, and support to staff, ensuring the safe operation of aquatic programs.
It also includes lifeguarding, instruction, and facility coverage as needed.
This is an excellent opportunity if you have prior experience in aquatics and are interested in taking on a leadership role in programming.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of two years of experience in aquatics
- Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification or equivalent
- Strong communication and leadership skills

Scheduling and Locations :
The position offers flexible scheduling based on center hours, requiring some availability for evenings and weekends.
Part-time employees are scheduled variable hours and may work less than 1,560 hours per year. Seasonal employees may be scheduled 40 hours per week for a maximum duration of 6 months.

New Benefit Paid Time Off
Effective March 1, 2024, a new paid leave for part-time Paid Time Off (PTO), will accrue at a rate of one (1) hour earned for every 30 hours worked.
This is in addition to Sick leave and may be scheduled by employees for any reason!
