Technical Data Analyst

An established Medical Device company in Irvine, CA is in need of a Technical Data Analyst for a 2- year project . The project is based entirely on site in Irvine, it is scheduled to kick off the first week of November .

This project is a unique opportunity to support a leading global organization to play an integral role within a new and growing team.

This is a high visibility project that will support various functions, but it is focused on tracking labeling changes and product registrations for commercial devices.

The team has a 'Master Tracker' spreadsheet to track thousands of part numbers and certificates, this Analyst will be updating, developing, and maintaining the Master Tracker and other data.

The Technical Data Analyst needs to have advanced proficiency in data modelling to manage and maintain complex flows, and a strong background of stakeholder management and communication.

The ideal Analyst will have a proven track record of integrating and updating multiple data sources within Excel, SharePoint, Power BI, Python and other common database platforms.

The role will involve closely interacting with the Product Transfer Project Manager as well as multiple cross-functional workstream leads to ensure tool efficiency and accuracy.

Responsibilities :

• Maintain and update complex Excel models with advanced formulas and Power Queries, ensuring integration and accuracy of multiple data sources.
• Modify the data pipelines to accommodate changes in underlying model assumptions and reflect those changes.
• Collaborate with the Product Transfer Project Manager to consolidate, resolve, and implement change requests
• Demonstrate high-level understanding of supply chain and regulatory functional operations within a Pharmaceutical or Medical technology organization.
• Ensure timely collection of input data from relevant stakeholders through effective stakeholder management.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and escalate issues in a timely manner to the Product Transfer Project Manager.
• Track progress against deadlines and report progress regularly to the Product Transfer Project Manager and relevant functional stakeholders.

Requirements :

• BS degree minimum
• 2-5 years of experience in Medical Device or Biotechnology industry
• Proven experience in managing and maintaining complex Excel models with advanced formulas and Power Queries
• Proficiency in integrating, updating, and analyzing multiple data sources (Excel, SharePoint, SQL data extracts)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Management of large data sets and advanced data analytics skills
• Experience with product transfer or product lifecycle management projects
• Knowledge of PLM, supply chain, labeling, and regulators
• Knowledge of MDR
• Basic knowledge of Python
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to track progress against deadlines and report outputs regularly
• Experience with Power BI
