Our mission is to elevate brand cohesion, design quality, and productivity for TikTok Monetization products, enabling exceptional product experiences at scale.
As an emerging function within the organization, we are responsible for advocating and implementing consistent design principles and interaction standards across all TikTok business products though leveraging our new design system, Keystone.
Our goal is to connect products and designers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, consistent products tailored to Advertisers, Creators, and end users, ultimately driving business growth and achieving ambitious objectives.
On a daily basis, the Design Infra team evaluates the design system on the front lines by applying it into product directly and provides guidance for its evolution.
We creates high level design guidelines and frameworks that unify products with shared standards. We revamp business-critical products by adopting our new design system to create direct business and user impact.
We also provide education to designers to achieve optimal and sustainable results. ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will : - Lead the redesign of business-critical products by adopting the new design system to create direct business and user impact.
- Champion the application of the Design System within the enterprise product ecosystem.- Develop design guidelines and frameworks, and educate designers to deliver consistent and user friendly designs in a complex enterprise context.
- Work with a passionate group of Design System designers to evolve industry-leading Design Systems.- Create prototypes and specifications that effectively communicate design requirements to cross-functional teams.
- Leverage data insights and research to iterate and refine designs, driving key business metrics and optimizing user impact.
- Influence and enhance visual design quality and proficiency across an organization of 100+ designers. Foster a culture of design thinking and system thinking, advocating for best practices and quality in design.
- Contribute design thinking and system thinking skills across various departments, including business, research, engineering, content, marketing, etc.
Build strong partnerships that align stakeholders and ensure cohesive output.- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to incorporate innovative approaches into our design standards.
Minimum Qualifications- Strong product thinking, design thinking, and visual design skills. - Solid understanding of product development cycle and create frameworks to help to address and scale the design system application.
- Passionate about bringing the right design experience through leveraging the design system and identifying the opportunity for both the product team and design system team.
- Profound understanding of Design Systems, including its design principles, processes and lifecycle. - Proficient in using data and research to guide design evolution and enhance user experience.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex visual concepts to stakeholders of varying expertise.
Preferred Qualifications : - Minimum 5 years of professional experience in branding and visual design, or design systems for complex products.
- Experience collaborating with research, data analysis, product managers and engineers to deliver live products.- In-depth understanding of emerging trends in design and UI / UX best practices.
- Self-motivated and able to efficiently run a project without close supervision- Passion for TikTok's mission and values, with the ability to align brand design with company goals.
