Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to, the following.
- Regularly communicate and model the Danfoss Behaviors such that these cultural attributes are incorporated throughout the organization.
- Ensure safe working conditions to minimize employee risk of injury and drive an engaged safety culture.
- Serve as an active member of the Plant Leadership Team, providing input for strategy, direction & continuous improvement by leveraging lean tools, Danfoss Business System, and Danfoss leadership model.
- Develop strategic manufacturing plans in compliance with Eden Prairie’s core / non-core strategy and the Business Unit growth initiatives
- Manage, guide, direct, and develop team with challenging assignments to accomplish safety, quality, delivery, cost, and Business Unit objectives.
Define competencies and goals required for successful performance and ensure that employees receive appropriate motivation, recognition, and development opportunities for career growth.
Establish and maintain an environment conducive to continuous improvement in manufacturing; recommend alternatives for improving production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions.
Identify and assess new technology areas for development. Consider and execute alternative approaches that might be required to adapt to changing technology or organizational
Background & Skills
- Required (Basic) Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university. Minimum of 5 years of work experience in manufacturing or related environment Minimum of 3 years of experience leading others Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
- Preferred Qualifications Master’s in Business Administration or Engineering from an accredited university 7 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment 3 or more years of experience managing leaders of people in a manufacturing setting 3 or more years of experience with planning adequate material and manpower to execute production schedules 3 or more years of experience designing process changes to improve manufacturing Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to develop and motivate team of direct reports Ability to work cross-functionally in a collaborative environment Dealing with ambiguity Knowledge of machining and assembly / test processes Knowledge of lean principles
