Behavior Technician

Southwest Behavioral & Health Services is hiring a Behavior Technician to join our Southwest Autism Center of Excellence Program.

This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday at our Erickson Outpatient Clinic in Central Phoenix.

Leading both one-on-one and small group learning; no two days are the same. You will be a key component in helping our valued clients with self-care, skill building, copping strategies and improving their quality of life.

We offer assistance with obtaining RBT certificate.

Location : 2632 E. Thomas Rd, #100, Phoenix, AZ 85016. The position requires conducting home visits on a daily basis.

Pay : starts at $18 / hr. Rate is determined based on experience and certificate. We offer assistance with obtaining the RBT certificate.

Responsibilities

• Implement, record and summarize data, for prescribed client’s individualized treatment and behavior protocols.
• Implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction interventions, including discrete trial teaching, natural environment teaching, incidental teaching and social skills training prescribed in the client’s individualized treatment plan.
• Assist with family and caregiver training in line with client’s individualized treatment and behavior protocols.
• Effectively communicate with families and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
• Utilize safe & appropriate crisis management procedures when working with clients.
• Collaborate with treatment team including client, families and caregivers, outside professionals, Behavior Technician, ABA Interns and co-workers.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement consists of a 21-years of age
• A High School Diploma / GED and 2 years of relevant experience in special education, developmental disabilities, and respite care.
• Required to maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license.
• Required to maintain personal auto insurance per SBH guidelines.
• Must have fingerprint clearance issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or be eligible to receive within eight (8) weeks of hire
