Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU) was founded as a 501(c) (3) non-profit medical institution in 2005 aimed at increasing access to health care in medically underserved areas of the Pacific Northwest.
The University currently offers the degrees of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Master of Arts in Medical Science, and Master of Science in Occupational Therapy enrolling over 550 students annually with plans to develop other programs and / or colleges.
Interprofessional education partnerships with other universities adds another 100 students to the population. The campus includes 300 employees with academic programming spread over a five state region.

General Summary :
Hires and schedules simulation patients (SPs). Assists faculty with creating cases and trains SPs in character portrayal, case fact delivery, checklist item assessment, and feedback.
Oversees the set up and maintenance of simulation hardware and software. Responsible for event preparation, SP briefings, debriefings, assigning staff roles, overseeing quality control, logistical operations, and student assessment.
Documents all simulation data.
Essential Job Functions :
- Recruits and trains SPs. Schedules simulations.
- Prepares equipment, software, and hardware for simulations. Sets up and cleans up simulations.
- Assists faculty with designing and prioritizing training exercises. Works to create realistic scenarios.
- Maintains the infrastructure for electronic data storage within simulation center systems. Ensures all users and user profiles are input correctly and in the correct groups.
- Oversees quality control for simulation activities.
- Manages equipment and supply inventory.
- Performs other related duties as assigned and based on departmental need.

- skill in public speaking; skill in current and applicable computer programming languages relative to the assignment; knowledge of computer and network operating systems;
- knowledge of customer service principles and practices; knowledge of laboratory techniques; ability to apply effective and accurate data entry and typing skills;
and ability to operate relevant equipment required to complete assigned responsibilities for the position.
