Responsibilities

The Marketing Operations and Events Manager will develop, manage and execute scalable processes that ensure best practices in marketing, with a primary focus on project management for events and creative services and budget management.

  • Project Management, Events :
  • Logistics Management : Oversee and manage logistics for industry and regional shows, aligning with pre-established plans, incl.

registration, coordination of booth exhibits and show services; Develop and maintain annual event calendar.

  • Manage physical booth properties, marketing collateral and giveaway items in-office, receiving and shipping out as needed in coordination with internal shipping department, managing inventory, storage and replenishment.
  • Post-Event Evaluation : Conduct post-event debriefs and evaluations to identify successes and areas for improvement, compiling feedback for future events.
  • Project Management, content and creative development :
  • Assist the marketing team with project management on collaborative projects, including project planning, resource and schedule management.
  • Budget Management :
  • Monitor and manage event budgets, ensuring expenses remain within approved limits and providing regular updates on financial status.
  • Responsible for internal PO generation for marketing vendors, incl. vendor set ups and purchase requisition orders.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience (minimum 3-5 years) in event management
  • Excellent project management abilities
  • Highly collaborative team player; an effective communicator with peers, and across levels within the organization
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Shows strategic sensibility, with great attention to detail
  • Familiar and comfort with marketing systems and tools (i.e. jira work management, asana, Pardot, Salesforce, other)
  • Willing to roll up sleeves to get the job done , including packing and shipping event properties and collateral, and assisting with booth setup / teardown at industry trade shows
  • Willing to help out additionally beyond the basic job description when needed
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously
  • Flexibility to travel and work evenings or weekends on occasion if needed

The Bay Area salary for this role is $100k-$115k base + pre-IPO stock options + benefits. This position can be hybrid. The salary will be adjusted to reflect local market conditions based on employee location as well as the experience of the employee.

This compensation and benefits information is based on Mainspring Energy's estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future.

We generally do not negotiate on salary once we have made an offer. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and / or education, or particular skills and expertise.

New hires joining the company tend to be paid within the starting base pay range noted above, with opportunities to increase pay over time based on development of additional skills, competencies, and company-specific knowledge.
