Responsibilities
- Preparing K-12, Higher Education, and Commercial project specifications from firm master specifications
- Product research and evaluation
- Technical design assistance
- Construction contract administration support of design studio staff
- Mentoring of design studio technical staff
Qualifications
- Qualified candidates should be able to work independently.
- Candidates should be meticulous, possess exceptional judgment, and experienced in the ability to communicate the qualitative requirements for materials, products, systems, and workmanship clearly and concisely.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or similar degree required
- 20 years of experience in the design & construction industry
- 5+ years of experience as a Specifications Writer.
- Experience writing specifications for K-12 Education projects is highly preferred.
- Experience with Deltek (Formerly ARCOM) MasterSpec editing tools also preferred.
- Licensed architect, CSI CCS, or CSI CCCA desired.
