Job Summary and Qualifications
This leadership position with the Clinical Informatics team of the Care Innovation & Transformation provides direction and oversight for enterprise solutions focused on interoperability.
These solutions provide clinicians, staff, patients and others with knowledge and context-specific information, intelligently filtered and presented at appropriate times, to enhance health and healthcare delivery.
This position is responsible for representing the clinical informatics perspective from strategy, through design and deployment, and into implementation and support including product and operational process.
The nature of the solutions range from health information exchange with national networks to use case-specific clinical decision support.
Success in this position includes working with multi-disciplinary cross-functional teams, providing the clinical and informatics underpinnings for technical solutions along with supporting operational processes.
A customer service mindset and the ability to relate to partners with multiple and diverse backgrounds is crucial to excelling in this role.
Responsibilities
- Full resource management responsibility for team
- Develop and execute strategies for clinical informatics-based solutions and processes
- Direct definition and validation of interoperability use cases
- Direct clinical workflow and data analysis
- Lead in providing clinical expertise for data integration, quality and mapping
- Direct the creation of training and education material
- Direct second-tier user and operational support as needed
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in clinical discipline required
- Master’s Degree preferred
Experience
- Clinical experience required
- Hospital experience preferred
- Technical experience with EHR documentation and ordering functionality and content
- 7-10 years of relevant work experience
- 1-3 years of leadership experience
- Experience speaking and presenting before large groups
