Responsibilities

• Promptly answer calls and emails in a professional manner from customers placing orders or requesting information on technical specifications, product pricing or availability of product
• Resolve customer complaints by performing activities such as exchanging merchandise or adjusting bills, or refer the call to the individual who can resolve the complaint
• Provide accurate information regarding availability of in-stock items
• Obtain accurate information from vendors relating to shipment dates, expected date of delivery, etc. and provide to customers
• Accurately enter sales orders from customers into the business system
• Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction
• Attend sales and product review meetings
• Keep records as required
• Stay abreast of product developments, changes in local codes and consumer preferences
• Other duties / responsibilities as assigned by the Department Manager

Qualifications

• Three years of related experience or equivalent training in trade fields
• Strong computer and Microsoft Office Suite knowledge
• Ability to assess customer needs and provide customer satisfaction
• Ability to communicate information and ideas effectively with customers by telephone and in person
• Ability to identify solutions, conclusions or approaches to provide customer satisfaction; and still consider the relative costs and benefits to all involved
