Role and Responsibilities :
As a Lead Language Learning Designer at Tomo, you will :
- Play a crucial role in the early product definition of Tomo.
- Develop and design language learning curricula and content tailored for AI-driven delivery.
- Ensure the curriculum is pedagogically sound, engaging, and optimized for AI interactions.
- Collaborate with linguists and language experts to create effective learning pathways.
- Guide the AI to be an effective tutor by participating in prompt engineering and refining AI-driven lesson delivery.
- Update and refine existing content based on user feedback and the latest research.
Qualifications :
Educational Background :
- Advanced Degree : Master’s or Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics, Language Education, TESOL, Curriculum Design, or a related field.
- Certifications : Additional certifications in instructional design, educational technology, or language teaching are beneficial.
Professional Experience :
- Curriculum Design : Several years (typically 5-10+) of experience in designing language learning curricula and materials.
- Teaching Experience : Practical language teaching (can be languages other than English) experience in a classroom or online setting
- AI and EdTech Integration : Experience with AI-driven educational tools and a keen interest in leveraging AI to enhance learning experiences.
- Prompt Design : Familiarity with or willingness to learn AI prompt design to refine AI responses and improve the quality of AI-driven tutoring.
