The Project Accounting Controller will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project accounting and project management while providing insights to support strategic decision-making.

This role requires a detail-oriented and analytical professional with a strong understanding of project accounting principles and practices within a services industry.

Key Responsibilities :

Oversee and manage the financial aspects of multiple projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Monitor project expenditures and revenues, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and company policies.

Prepare and review project profitability analysis.

Ensure project compliance with management guidelines.

Collaborate with project managers to develop and maintain project budgets.

Monitor project performance and connect with project managers on budget variances.

Manage the billing process, including the preparation and submission of client invoices.

Track and reconcile project billings, collections, and accounts receivable, managing an efficient working capital.

Address client inquiries related to billing and financial matters.

Collaborate with project managers, finance team members, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project management.

Manage the project accounting team and setting expectations and performance evaluations of the team.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement and financial discipline within the project teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

5+ years of experience in project accounting, preferably within the consulting industry.

Strong knowledge of project accounting principles, practices, and software (e.g., ERP systems, accounting software).

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in reporting and analysis.

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
