Responsibilities :
- Install, alter and repair sheet metal products and equipment ducts and hoods for HVAC systems
- Utilizing blueprints, drawings, and work orders
- Selects appropriate material for each job based on desired or necessary strength.
- Coordinates required shutdowns and startups of equipment with other departments after sheet metal installation
- Measures, cuts, and welds pieces together according to specifications, blueprints, or directions
- Develops and maintains records for projects and repairs
- Inspect products for compliance with specifications and quality standards and requirements
Qualifications :
- Be able to read blueprints and schematics to understand product specifications
- Safely operate machinery and tools involved in sheet metal work
- Complete sheet metal projects with accuracy and precision
- Ability to complete daily tasks with limited supervision and minimal errors
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Must be able to perform manual and repetitive tasks including standing / walking for long periods of time, bending, stooping, climbing, crawling, pulling, pushing, lifting, and carrying
- Be able to communicate effectively with clients and coworkers
- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
