Job Description :

Primarily responsible for the sale of treasury management products and services through the acquisition of new business members, expansion of current business member relationships, and retention of existing business relationships.

Provide support to on-board members and provide service to existing members. Develop strong relationships and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to sell additional business services and deposit products.

Responsible for increasing the profitability of treasury management and business services to generate non-interest fee income.

Must have a deep and strong understanding of treasury management products and services.

  • Responsible for the sale of treasury management solutions by prospecting for new business relationships and expanding and retaining existing business relationships through-out the Achieva footprint
  • Conduct sales activities in-person at the member / prospects business, in-person at a branch, or virtually
  • Conduct pre-call planning sessions, research, and quantitative analysis in support of sales opportunities
  • Conduct needs-based discovery conversations with business members and prospects to identify potential treasury management opportunities in line with performance and sales goals
  • Meet sales goals as defined; to include non-interest fee income
  • Generate cross-sell opportunities and referrals by maintaining strong working relationships with other lines of business and third party providers;

conduct joint calling efforts as appropriate and follow-up as required

  • Manage the sales process, prepare proposals (including pro-formas and analysis) using established guidelines
  • Review Requests for Proposals (RFPs) received, advise bankers on pricing, approach and development of formal proposals;

assist with presentation of proposals as required

  • Responsible for successful on-boarding of new members; provide technical / operational support and product training to members
  • Conduct member service in conjunction with the Business Banking Services Specialist, including, but not limited to : product / service set-up, member service;

conduct the role of the Specialist when Specialist is out of the office

  • Maintain superior knowledge of treasury management products and services
  • Support the Business Product Manager or Training Department as requested to conduct training with internal staff
  • Create and maintain a trusted advisor role with members, prospects, and internal / external partners
  • Represent the treasury management products and services as a product expert with member interactions or at external facing events
  • Support the Business Product manager by providing competitor information in order to identify opportunities for product and pricing enhancements
  • Maintain an awareness of trends and new developments in the field of treasury management; maintain and continuously refine extensive knowledge of treasury management products, services and pricing;

application of products / services to business cash flow cycles; service set-up procedures and documentation; and account analysis

  • Communicate effectively with management regarding calling activities; manage sales pipeline reports and results
  • Support the credit unions brand frame for quality member service through on-going member contact and superior product knowledge
  • Represents Achieva within the community by participating in community organizations
  • Refers potential non-treasury management business to sales teams
  • Strong knowledgeable of regulations related to business products, corporate Policies and procedures; follows departmental procedures
  • Strong written and oral communications skills; professional and efficient communications with all departments in order to promote teamwork and high quality member service;

represents and upholds the Brand Frame

  • Ability to effectively use tools and resources required to perform job
  • Assist in the coordination of annual operational exposure review; assist team members in the review process as required
  • Must be able to travel up to 80%
  • Ability to work successfully in a remote location, in field, and / or office setting
  • Ability to set up a home workstation and troubleshoot connectivity and technology in a remote situation
  • Provide prompt, friendly and accurate service to internal and external customers
  • Represent the credit union in a courteous and professional manner
  • Responsible for upholding all credit union ethical standards
  • Assist with special projects as required
  • Perform other essential job functions as required or assigned

Experience and Skills :

Minimum Education Required :

Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field

Minimum Experience Required :

  • 5-7 years treasury management sales experience at a financial institution
  • 3-5 year treasury management service experience at a financial institution

Skills Required :

  • Strong analytical skills; with a thorough knowledge of the mathematics of treasury management, including account analysis, pro-forma creation, and the ability to identify and solve problems
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong sales skills and successful sales track record
  • Excellent selling / negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully perform duties both virtually and face-to-face
  • Knowledge of banking systems and operations
  • Strong team player with ability to manage and influence others
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook
  • Smartsheet software experience
  • Ability to work independently and exercise good judgement
