Our client is seeking a skilled a Lead Payroll Specialist to oversee payroll operations and ensure accuracy and compliance.
This role is essential for managing payroll processes and leading the payroll team. Fulltime opportunity located near Albany, NY.
Responsibilities of the Lead Payroll Specialist will include : -Oversee and supervise payroll processing, including salaries, and deductions.
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll updates for new hires, terminations, and pay changes.-Maintain precise payroll records and reports.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws.-Facilitate audits and recommend improvements to payroll systems.
- Supervise the payroll team if applicable and handle year-end reporting.-Other duties as assignedQualifications of the Lead Payroll Specialist : -Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, HR, or related field.
- 3-5 years of payroll management experience.-Extensive knowledge of payroll functions, taxes, and regulations.-Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.-Experience with ADP -Detail oriented and deadline driven
