Fort Collins Property Accountant Opportunity

Join our esteemed client in Fort Collins, CO, and become a key player in the realm of commercial real estate! We're actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Property Accountant to join a dynamic team.

Responsibilities of the Property Accountant :

  • Take charge of end-to-end property accounting for a diverse portfolio encompassing 20+ commercial properties, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Oversee all aspects of accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, collections management, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Collaborate closely with property managers to ensure precise budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Manage lease processes, calculating CAM (Common Area Maintenance) charges, insurance, and property taxes.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide financial insights and support decision-making processes to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Assist in year-end closings, audits, and tax preparations as required.

Qualifications for the Property Accountant :

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial property accounting.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with NetSuite is a PLUS.
  • Excellent professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
