Fort Collins Property Accountant Opportunity

Responsibilities of the Property Accountant :
- Take charge of end-to-end property accounting for a diverse portfolio encompassing 20+ commercial properties, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Oversee all aspects of accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, collections management, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Collaborate closely with property managers to ensure precise budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Manage lease processes, calculating CAM (Common Area Maintenance) charges, insurance, and property taxes.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide financial insights and support decision-making processes to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Assist in year-end closings, audits, and tax preparations as required.
Qualifications for the Property Accountant :
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial property accounting.
- Solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with NetSuite is a PLUS.
- Excellent professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
