As part of the Program Management Office, you'll work closely with the architecture, IP design & Physical Design teams, and SOC engineers to achieve first pass silicon success.
THE PERSON : A successful candidate will work with senior silicon design engineers. The candidate will be highly accurate and detail-oriented, with excellent problem-solving skills.
Experience in presenting status, risks and remediation plans to internal executives and external customer executives Drive team to successful delivery of project while hitting all delivery metrics Ability to manage teams in multiple time zones A team player who represents and encourages collaboration in the work environment.
Good communicator with good listening skills. A dependable program manager who has positive attitude. A self-starter who is motivated by challenges.
Interested in learning new technologies. KEY RESPONSIBLITIES : Define, plan, and drive engineering program plans based on senior technical guidance and involving multi-component environment (AMD IPs, SOCs, HW, SW, FW) Provide program management leadership to technical teams spanning multiple disciplines / geographies Develop, lead, and continually improve program-level processes and methodologies.
Identify and manage program dependencies, issues, and risks. Align and manage program deliverables by working with stakeholder in the group and outside the group.
Coordinate team communications and reviews with AMD senior and executive management and customers Track and report status vs.
objectives throughout the lifecycle of the operation Provide miscellaneous program leadership and support as required. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE : Proven pre-silicon program management experience from project inception to tapeout Experience developing a long-term program plan with periodic deliverables and milestones Experience using and managing team collaboration tools such as Confluence, JIRA, etc.
Skilled in MS Office (esp Excel, Powerpoint) & MS Project tool suites, MS Sharepoint, Teams etc. Familiarity with pre and post-silicon concepts ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS : Undergrad required.
Bachelor's of Science or Master's in Electrical Engineer, Computer Engineering or Computer Science preferred PMP certification is a preferred but not required #LI-BM1 #LI-Hybrid At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package.
