Role and Expectations

We are looking for a Lead Product Designer to join our team. Design is incredibly important to Flipturn; we routinely hear from customers and prospects that our product has the best UX among the software in our category.

As a product designer at Flipturn, you will not only work on feature development, you will also have a strong influence on product direction and participate in conversations with customers.

Responsibilities You’ll Have At Flipturn Will Include

• Understand user workflows and pain points, and produce and iterate on high quality designs to solve user needs.
• Prototype new user experiences, and participate in customer conversations to showcase them and receive quick feedback.
• Partner closely with the CEO, CTO, and engineering team to ship features to customers.
• There is also the opportunity to take on some product management or marketing design responsibilities in collaboration with leadership.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is excited about joining a small but quickly moving climate tech startup in the EV charging space.

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you enjoy :

• Ideating on and prototyping features from the ground up to bring entirely new functionality to users.
• Having direct impact on the success of the company and our customers, and iterating quickly based on customer and team feedback.
• Taking an active role in driving product direction, and being open to presenting directly to customers as needed.
• Diving into the details of how EV charging sites operate to create the best experience for our users.

A Strong Candidate Will Have The Following Experience / Skills

• Professional background in product design, including 3+ years of industry experience.
• Experience leading significant projects from inception to post-launch, with active users external to the company.
• Ability to put yourself in the shoes of users to drive development of a product.
• Experience working at an early or mid-stage startup is a plus.
