REPORTS TO : Director of Development STATUS : Full-time COMPENSATION : $58,900 - $61,000 annually LOCATION : New Haven, CT (Hybrid - 2 days per week in the office in New Haven) TRAVEL : Quarterly domestic travel & weekly local travel JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Donor Development (65%) : Steward a portfolio of 200-225 donors via in person meetings, digital meetings, phone calls and written communication In collaboration with t he Director of Development, develop and execute an annual plan for portfolio retention that includes : donor outreach, and individualized donor knowledge, with the goal of building relationships, and focus on portfolio growth Research, develop, and engage new donor prospects (ie.

meetings, presentations, meals, coffees, etc.) In collaboration with the Director of Development work on new donor acquisition initiatives and campaigns Participate in combined outreach efforts with the Development and Communications Team around annual campaigns including, Giving Tuesday and End of Year giving initiatives that include retention and win-back strategies for existing Love146 donors Speak on behalf of Love146 at public events where applicable Support and provide guidance where needed for donor volunteer-created events Event Planning (20%) : Under the direction of the Director of Development, participate in the planning and execution of fundraising events Collaborate in securing and management of skilled event related vendors Create and maintain event related spreadsheets and reports Planning & Reporting (15%) : Track donor related activity for your portfolio in Salesforce, using data for reporting and to inform donor relations Report on donor engagement updates at the bi-weekly Development and Communications team meeting Meet weekly with the Director of Development to discuss donor stewardship, as well as ongoing and future fundraising projects and initiatives QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Previous experience (3-4 years) in fundraising or sales;

previous experience fundraising for a nonprofit preferred Experience in effectively working with remote colleagues and supervisor Skilled networker with demonstrated success in building relationships and the ability to convert those relationships into financial gifts Public speaking experience Proven track record of meeting and exceeding fundraising targets on schedule Proven track record of expertise in utilizing data to inform day-to-day decision making and planning activities COMPETENCIES & SKILLS Knowledge of CRM databases, Salesforce preferred Knowledge of fundraising technology platforms and methods, Classy preferred Exceptional written and oral communication skills Attention to detail and high level of accuracy Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in relevant computer applications such as the G-Suite (Docs, Drive, Sheets, etc.

Excel, Word, PowerPoint / other presentation tools. Ability to understand and analyze data to inform decision making, statistical analysis in Excel or Numbers preferred A general understanding of web based applications (i.

e. Salesforce, Zoom, Slack). Appreciation for and ability to work within a multicultural setting Shared passion and ability for championing more diverse, equitable, inclusive, and accessible fundraising and programming Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse environment with colleagues, donors, and professional partners of differing identities from themself Ability to navigate a diverse donor base Problem solving and stress tolerance skills Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently to meet deadlines Ability to work independently, anticipate needs and follow through with minimum direction WORKING CONDITIONS The incumbent must spend long hours sitting, using office equipment and performing computer operations, which requires intense mental and visual concentration and eye hand coordination.

The incumbent is required to deal with a wide variety of people on various issues. Travel locally or regionally, occasionally over weekends and out of office hours to attend functions, donor meetings, etc.
