Management Resources is seeking a senior accounting professional with particular expertise in inventory and intercompany accounting.
The successful individual will maintain the full ownership of company-wide inventory accounting operations, and regularly liaise with different business segments to ensure smooth and accurate intercompany transactions.
This is a long-term contract opportunity.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee and maintain inventory accounting policies, practices, and procedures.
- Ensure accurate, timely recording and reporting of inventory transactions.
- Regularly review, evaluate, and reconcile inventory and intercompany accounting.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute the preparation of periodic inventory counts.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders (i.e., internal departments, auditors, vendors) to resolve inventory and intercompany accounting discrepancies.
- Prepare and post inventory and intercompany journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
- Analyze and interpret financial implications of inventory movements and provide supportive insights to various operational teams.
- Support the maintenance of the intercompany account reconciliation.
- Assist in enhancing the intercompany reconciliation process and systems.
- Comply with the company's internal controls, and local and international accounting regulations related to inventory and intercompany accounting.
- Contribute to the team’s efforts in meeting accounting deadlines and satisfying organizational objectives.
- Keep up-to-date with changing accounting and industry standards.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- CPA or equivalent professional qualification is a must.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on inventory and intercompany accounting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting regulations.
- Excellent understanding of inventory valuation methods (LIFO, FIFO, Standard Costs) and their impacts.
- Proficient in intercompany balances reconciliation and intercompany transactions management.
- Experience in ERP software
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels within the company.
