Touchmark on South Hill Skilled Nursing is a 51 bed rehab / long term care, boutique style, community that has a great team who have worked hard together and achieved a 5 star Medicare rating for the last 9 years.
The successful candidate will have the desire and drive to help us continue this great legacy by leading the team through recruitment and retention of staff, directing of excellent care of patients and residents, following policies and procedures, and responsibly directing fiscal operations of the community.
As the Director of Nursing, you will enrich lives every day by utilizing your education and experience to oversee the licensed care staff working in our skilled nursing neighborhood, ensuring residents receive the highest level of dignity and care.
You will have the daily opportunity to distinguish yourself and your team of nurses RN / LPNs and Nursing Assistants NACs by taking the time to be a positive presence in the lives of residents and their family members!
The ideal candidate will :
- Have a commitment to Touchmark’s values (excellence, teamwork, hospitality, integrity, and compassion), as well as a desire to model these values and to encourage others to be allies, friends and givers
- Have experience in an skilled nursing / rehab community, preferably in a management role
- Be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Washington
- Washington State Skilled Nursing Administrators License preferred
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience
- Assist in the planning and coordination of resident care, employee development, and continued quality improvement in our licensed care neighborhoods
- Be willing to work occasional weekend and holiday shifts and on Call rotation
- Have a genuine interest in caring for elderly residents and working in a geriatric environment
- Possess a willingness to continue learning and improving skills, as well as a commitment to confidentiality
- Be able to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, staff members and visitors
