What the myHR Service Center contributes to Cardinal Health

The myHR Service Center team is responsible for general employee inquiries, management & maintenance of employee data, and efficiency of HR data transactions and processes.

HR Operations is responsible for the administration and efficiency of HR data transactions, processes, audits, and calculations and managing internal programs and projects.

  • Uses knowledge of HR processes, technologies, and controls framework to initiate and / or complete routine employee data transactions and to monitor, audit and ensure data integrity.
  • Defines and executes foundational data changes related to organizational changes
  • Identifies root cause, evaluates impacts and develops solutions for data and process breakdowns.
  • Develops and maintains standard operating procedures for new and / or modified HR programs impacting employee data requirements.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of program / project management practices, solutions, and technologies as well as change management and business process.

Job Summary

HR Service Center Subject Matter Expertise (SME) regarding I-9 processes and practices. Acts as escalation point for I9 compliance including but not limited to confirmation of E-Verify employment eligibility cases that require additional research to reach resolution and provides general oversight and support of I-9 teammates.

Responsibilities

Responsible for managing the I-9 process for all U.S. and Puerto Rico new hires.Documentation review and oversight to ensure valid and compliant identification documents.

Entry of I-9 information into vendor system to process through E-Verify.Monitors E-Verify issues such as pending referrals, photo matching, etc.

Monitor GMB for remote hire documentation and general inquiries.Monitor HR Service Now for inquiries regarding I-9 processing.

Supports questions and inquiries from site representatives across the country.Supports I-9 completion for remote hires (working from home or field based) via video conferencing.

Identify, track, and manage Supplement B Reverifications for form I-9.

  • Partner with Vendor, HR Service Center teammates and legal to evaluate continuous improvement opportunities in the I-9 space that focus on improved customer experience and compliance.
  • Perform weekly audits to monitor compliance.
  • Manage escalations with Managers and HR business partners related to past due I-9 completion and takes necessary action on new hires that are out of compliance.
  • Process employee personal data changes in the Human Capital Management system (Workday), as needed.
  • Support HR Service Center teammates on, as needed, on escalated I9 inquiries.
  • Protect Cardinal Health and ensure strict compliance within a tightly controlled environment.
  • Provide support to benefits specialist on the Workforce Compliance team by assisting with inquiries regarding unemployment and employment verification through HR Service Now case tool.
  • Raises awareness and identifies potentially fraudulent documentation and takes appropriate action to protect Cardinal Health.
  • May assist with or lead special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
  • 2+ years’ experience in related field.Experience with supporting I-9 related inquiries preferred.In depth experience understanding what acceptable documentation is and what is not (forms, extensions, etc.

In depth experience processing an I-9 from start to finish.

  • Experience working in an organization that participated in E-Verify.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage escalated customer situations.
  • Knowledge and experience with HR systems (Service Now, Workday etc.).
  • Critical eye for detail and appreciation for data accuracy and integrity.
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement focus and skillset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with both internal customers, vendors and team members.

Anticipated salary range : $26.60 - $38.10
