JOB SUMMARY

The Manager of Café Technology for our Keke’s Brand will partner with the Director of Restaurant / Café Technology to be the IT Strategic Liaison for Keke’s Marketing & Operations teams.

The role will ensure alignment of IT plans, delivery, and support with strategic business goals, demonstrate deep knowledge of technology products and services essential for enhancing IT capabilities in Marketing & Operations, and facilitate consensus among leadership on IT priorities and strategies for Keke’s Breakfast Café.

Additionally, this role will provide leadership to multiple IT functions to shape the future direction of technology products and services and ensure stakeholder needs for support and service are effectively met.

The Keke’s Manager of Café Technology oversees applications and platforms within the Café portfolio. This includes managing current systems and planning for future technologies, such as :

  • Point of Sale systems (Positouch, Xenial, PAR Brink)
  • Payment devices (Verifone and mobile solutions)
  • Inventory and Labor Scheduling (Fourth / HotSchedules)
  • E-commerce and Online Ordering (Olo, Chowly, ezChow, DSPs)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Key Responsibilities)

POS System Management (40%) :

  • Deployment and management of software fixes and versions for on-premises and cloud-based POS systems.
  • Configuration management for POS data in cafes.
  • Management of menus, items, and PLUs for POS systems.

Technical Support (40%) :

  • Provide Level 1, 2, and 3 support for all Café Technology solutions.
  • Perform daily administration, monitoring, and maintenance activities for POS applications.
  • Resolve escalated issues promptly and provide support for application-related challenges.

Strategic IT Leadership (10%) :

  • Develop technology strategy for Marketing and Operations, emphasizing standard and sustainable solutions.
  • Foster executive stakeholder satisfaction and engagement in both Marketing and Operations.
  • Advocate for IT needs and priorities within Marketing and Operations during strategy, planning, and implementation stages.
  • Manage demand from Marketing and Operations, collaborating with IT leaders to prioritize enterprise-wide initiatives.

Vendor Management and Innovation (10%) :

  • Maximize vendor relationships and IT investments to meet current business needs and scale for future capabilities.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and trends in business relationship management.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :

Education :

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or business discipline or relevant experience.

Experience :

  • 7+ years of experience supporting or implementing large-scale technology implementations.
  • IT platform / application support experience including demonstrated ownership and decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts across all levels
  • Hospitality experience a requirement

REQUITRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS :

  • Have strong experience with supporting, configuring, installing, upgrading, and maintaining POS hardware and devices such as, but not limited to, tablets, terminals, kiosks, handheld devices, servers, printers, kitchen display systems, etc.
  • Proven track record in delivery of large, complex initiatives where technology is the driver / enabler
  • Understanding of and experience in defining and managing a portfolio of products and / or services that enable new capabilities for an organization
  • Multiple years of leadership experience within restaurant, retail, or food & beverage industries
  • Experience and knowledge of software / technologies along with best practices of leveraging technology to drive competitive advantage in operations or guest experience
  • Proven ability to collaborate, negotiate, and influence senior leaders, focused on business process improvements, technology strategy;

prioritization and phasing of key initiatives

  • Demonstrated ability to pass knowledge, experience, and instruction to fellow team members and supporting roles in an efficient and comprehensive manner
  • Previous POS deployment experience a plus
  • Effective communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Ability to travel 25%
