Machine Operator

WorkSource is seeking Machine Batch Mixers in the Springdale area. Several shift options available $15 / hrCompensation and Benefits include :

• Starting pay is $15.00 / hour

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities :

• Arrives 10 minutes prior to shift start time to receive pass down from outgoing operator
• Maintains communication with department Lead and Supervisor regarding the production schedule, the products that will be produced and any changeovers throughout the shift
• Evaluates material build up under and around Mixer at the beginning of the shift and ensures that area meets housekeeping objectives
• Checks kick over set ups are correct to prevent product damage at the beginning of shift
• Sets settings on the HMI panels to ensure product is extruded according to specifications
• Performs product checks every 10 minutes to ensure product meets quality standards
• Performs product dimension checks on the last conveyor before the North Cooling system
• Maintains communication with Mixer Operators and end of the line Production checkers to ensure that any areas of concern are addressed and production rates are maximized
• Reports, documents, and maintains a batch log per shift
• Maintains a log to document downtime throughout the shift
• Follows all safety rules and regulations, including Lockout Tagout Procedures when performing repairs on equipment
• Sets cooling conveyors speeds based on scheduled product
• Performs spot checks of die heater amps to identify damaged heaters
• Assists die techs with die and bolster changes
• Checks and verifies that equipment has received Preventative Maintenance to prevent mechanical breakdown on Extrusion line
• Performs daily safety audit around work station to identify any safety hazards
• Ensures work area is maintained clean and organized throughout the shift
• Cross trains with other Extruder Operators on all extruders
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

• Has to have reliable transportation
• Expected to report to work everyday
