Television Research Analyst. Immediate need with Large Media Client. 4x onsite per week in Culver City, CA. This is a 6 WEEK ASSIGNMENT WITH POTENTIAL TO EXTEND.
Pay up to $45 per hour w2 based on experience
As part of the SPT Research, Analysis, and Strategy team, the temporary Senior Analyst will serve as support for Romance, Young Adult, and Adult Animation genres.
Using secondary & syndicated data analysis, data science & business intelligence, primary research, content analysis, ratings & consumption data analysis and social listening, the Senior Analyst will support key series throughout their lifecycles including trend identification, landscape opportunity analysis, concept and pilot testing, content positioning, content promotion & launch / post launch analyses playing a meaningful and visible role in guiding content creation, optimizing audience engagement, and making our content the best it can be.
Responsibilities
- Function as a Research brand support for select TV titles. This position will be a point of contact for stakeholders looking for deeper dives into series performance analytics and audience behavior trends related to the shows they are responsible for
- Build strong partnerships and collaborate with teams across the organization in order to support the pick-up, maintenance, and renewal of titles
- Collect and analyze data from multiple sources (audience measurement, syndicated, primary, etc) in order to synthesize and develop a cohesive story, enabling key stakeholders to make informed decisions
- Present findings to Development, Current Programming, and Marketing / PR teams, as well as to program creators, writers, producers and directors
- Emphasize turning data and insights into actionable recommendations. Present and socialize findings throughout the organization
- Produce regular insights deliverables (memo, tracking etc)
- Create additional custom analyses as necessary
Experience / Skills :
- Passion for all forms of television and content, and foundational knowledge of TV and streaming landscape
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years in Television Research
- Must have a holistic experience with various ways to use insight / data tools to answer key business questions from primary research, to viewing / consumption data analysis, to social analytics, to data analytics solutions
- Proficiency with Nielsen Ratings and products, including : NNTV, NPower (National TV Toolbox), SVOD Content Ratings, TCR, Ad Intel, Fast Affiliates
- Proficiency with conducting / supporting primary research studies across qualitative and quantitative methodologies
- Some experience with social analytics preferred
- Some experience with other syndicated consumer data tools ideal
- Proficiency with analytics tools like Tableau and Excel
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Able to distill and effectively communicate complex information clearly and concisely
- Must be comfortable multi-tasking and prioritizing while maintain strict attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Flexible, collaborative personality, quick learner, and strong, pro-active work ethic
- Enthusiasm and curiosity and comfortable with change
