Job Description :
As a Bartender at The Fat Pigeon, you will be responsible for creating and serving high-quality cocktails, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized bar.
You will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity and skills by contributing to our menu and ensuring each guest has a memorable experience.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including signature cocktails, classic drinks, and custom orders.
- Greet and interact with customers, providing knowledgeable recommendations and ensuring a positive guest experience.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including washing glassware, restocking supplies, and managing inventory.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverages.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, techniques, and ingredients.
- Contribute to the creation of new cocktail recipes and seasonal menus.
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor and manage customer intoxication levels in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with the bar and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation and service.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience as a bartender in a high-volume cocktail bar or similar establishment.
- Extensive knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, and beer.
- Ability to create and develop new cocktail recipes.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and carry heavy trays for extended periods.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid bartending license or certification (if required by state law).
- Ability to handle and resolve customer complaints in a professional manner.
