The ideal candidate will be a recent law school graduatewith a strong academic record and a passion for the legalprofession.
KeyResponsibilities :
Conduct legal research andanalysis on a variety of legal issues
Draftlegal documents including contracts briefs andmotions
Represent clients in court proceedingsand negotiations
Communicate with clientsopposing counsel and other parties involved in legalmatters
Assist senior attorneys with casemanagement and trial preparation
Stay uptodateon relevant laws and regulations
Collaboratewith colleagues to develop legal strategies andsolutions
Maintain accurate and organized casefiles and documents
Adhere to ethical standardsand professional codes ofconduct
Requirements :
JurisDoctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited lawschool
Admission to the state bar (orwillingness to become admitted)
Strong academicrecord with a minimum GPA of 3.0
Excellentresearch writing and analytical skills
Abilityto work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and timemanagementskills
Excellent communication and interpersonalskills
Familiarity with legal research databasesand software
Previous experience in a legalsetting (internship clerkship etc.) is aplus
